Charles L. Hayes is an Associate Professor of Theatre & Cinema at Radford University where he teaches the acting courses. He has directed for the stage, for opera, for film, for radio and for television. Mr. Hayes worked with the Virginia Governor's School for the Arts for four years, serving as its director for the last two years that it was held on the Radford University campus. He also serves as director of Radford's exchange program with Middlesex University in London. Over the years he has adjudicated plays for the American College Theatre Festival and for numerous festivals at the high school level. He has also conducted a variety of workshops at various theatre conventions.

The Actor . . .

Chuck Hayes in the role of Col. J.C. Kinkaid in THE OLDEST LIVING GRADUATE by Preston Jones. This production was directed by Roberto Pomo and was staged in Fall of 1995. This is the second time that Hayes has played this role. The first time was under the direction of Mark Curran in Porterfield Studio Theatre.
